- "Civil Protection" course
- Intended for students of all majors of the second master's level.
- The purpose of studying the discipline is the formation of students' ability to think creatively, solve complex problems of an innovative nature and make productive decisions in the field of civil protection (CZ), taking into account the peculiarities of the future professional activity of graduates, as well as the achievements of scientific and technical progress.
- The task of studying the discipline involves the students' assimilation of the latest theories, methods and technologies for forecasting natural disasters, building models of their development, determining the level of risk and substantiating a set of measures aimed at averting natural disasters, protecting personnel, the population, material and cultural values in the conditions of natural disasters, localization and liquidation their consequences.
- Having mastered the program of the academic discipline "Civil Defense", specialists (masters) in the relevant areas of training must be able to solve professional tasks taking into account the requirements of the Central Committee and possess the following main professional competencies to ensure the implementation of the specified tasks.
- General cultural competences include:
- · the ability to define the scope of one's responsibilities according to the direction of professional activity, taking into account the tasks of the CG;
- · knowledge of methods and tools for monitoring emergency situations, building models (scenarios) of their development and assessing their socio-economic consequences;
- · the ability to make decisions on issues of the Central Committee within the limits of their powers.
- Professional competencies by type of activity include:
- · carrying out identification, researching the conditions for the occurrence and development of emergency situations and ensuring coordinated actions regarding their prevention at the emergency department in accordance with their professional duties;
- · selection and application of methods for forecasting and assessment of the situation in the emergency zone, calculation of parameters of impact factors of sources of emergency, which are controlled and used for forecasting, determination of the composition of forces, means and resources to overcome the consequences of emergency;
- · understanding, development and implementation of preventive and operational (emergency) measures of civil protection;
- · interpretation of the latest achievements in the theory and practice of safety management in the NS.
- · provision of high-quality training of employees of the OG on issues of central security, provision of assistance and consultations to employees of the organization (subdivision) on practical issues of protection in the National Emergency;
- · assessment of the unit's readiness to work under conditions of threat and occurrence of emergencies according to established criteria and indicators;
- The program of the academic discipline "Civil Defense" consists of two sections - "General training" and "Professional training".
